Eileen DeMaio - Artist and Designer

About me

My love for art started at a very young age along with the dream of becoming an artist. Luckily, I fulfilled this wish and worked as a professional artist and designer for nearly all of my career. Working for more than 35 years in design, I've gained expertise creating both print and web design projects as part of advertising & marketing and web development teams (where the last 18 years of my career were spent creating User Experience design projects).

A few of the positions I have held throughout my design career include: Business owner, Illustrator, Sr. Visual Designer, Photographer, Creative Director and User Interface Team Lead. I have a thorough understanding of the Web development lifecycle process and a comprehensive knowledge of user experience design. This includes Information Architecture, Visual Design, Usability and Accessibility standards and HTML development; with additional expertise using a wide variety of Adobe design products especially Photoshop and Illustrator. Creativity outside of my professional career has been expressed through various mediums; painting, illustration, portraits, calligraphy and photography are a few that I enjoy. I have created a wide range of design items from jewelry to christmas ornaments and gift baskets, as well as many home decorating, gardening, and sewing projects.
